Are you sure you are not related to my nephew?' He suggested that I build a large sloping roof and catch the water in a tote..
good news. yesterday a friend let us dig some rhubarb roots. Dan did the digging while I sat and talked.. He filled 3 buckets. . First thing today we (he) dug 24 holes and we planted all of them.. Then he stretched out over 200 feet of hose and watered them all in real good.
So, today I get a package from my sister. more roots. and then Annie's brother gave her one more root. Tomorrow Dan will plant all the rest of the roots. I will again, supervise.
I picked up the flexible coupler for Ollie. No bolts included.. I will have to get some fine threaded bolts and lock nuts.. I might have to back the pump up a bit to get clearance for the coupler assembly. might have to grind a bit of the cast iron frame, too.

That was indeed my next thought. :gig
My brother just put in a two tote system, fills off the downspout on his new house.
I have two totes that fill from our house to water the garden with. One rain barrel on the original coop. I want to put a tote to collect water from the goat house.
Today I sold 7 chickens and 5 , 3 week old chicks. And I bought more hardware cloth.

I keep wanting to work on the Serama run, but all these chores are keeping me busy. Plus hubby was complaining that the chicken poop is stinky. of course, the dry poop gets all wet when it rains buckets out there! Wet poop stinks. I took the PDZ stall freshener and sprinkled it all over the place. I think it smells better. But he's the stink expert. :lau Did you know he can actually smell a hamster in season?!
Actually, I plan on cleaning out all the coops and spraying them with insect killer as soon as it gets a bit cooler. I have a lot of modifications I want to do to the coops too.

good morning,
been busy here. Planted 24 hills of rhubarb. today we have to plant six more that my sister sent to me..
have 3 grapes that have to be planted, too.
I worked on the hydraulics a bit. the new flex coupler wants to rub on the tractor frame. have to back the mount up about an inch. maybe drill new holes.

Jim, what are you going to do with all that rhubarb? I'll only get a few peppers this year, I am a terrible pepper grower. I have to pick most of the tomatoes other than the cherry tomatoes once they start blushing, otherwise, the slugs and snails take a few bites out of them by the time they're fully ripe.
