Helpful hints for building coops

Make sure your main door where you will rake out/cleaning your coop aims towards the garden. Also if you have attached nest boxes aim them so the roof doesn't dump on them.

The trim is on all the windows, and so is the hardware cloth! So, still to do..finish top of nest box, make pop door, install perches and feeders. Latches need to go on the windows. And the run needs to have wire put on.

first time down here since Sunday. Way behind on my correspondence ..

On Tuesday I bottled 5 gal of wine.. Two more 5 gal to go.. Have to wash bottles..
The beer is coming along nicely. Not quite ready to drink, yet.
doing PT twice a week.
hasn't been above 4F for a week, still will continue like this until next Monday.
was minus -20 F this morning.

I hate when it doesn't get above freezing because then I have to worry about ice in some of the drinkers.

Aart, go ahead and whine.. It doesn't help, but it will make you feel better..
Frozen drinkers are one of the main reasons why I gave up on keeping chickens.
I keep wondering if the tractor will start,. but I am not curious enough to go out and try it..

When there's snow, I carry out water and only a few take a sip. So I assume between the soaked ff and snow they get enough water
