I wish I had some means of storing dry pine straw. We're in the middle of what will be 8 straight days of cold rain and my ladies could use a nice layer of dry pine straw under the picnic pavilion.
They are complaining to me about the weather when I enter the pen to check for eggs.
The great thing about pine straw is that it dries out in just a couple days of sunshine, but I'm not going to get those days until the end of the week.
I should use some of that salvaged, holey metal roof to make them another field shelter. They're digging dustbaths under the feeder in this weather.
