I have a 1/4" crown stapler. Perfect for tacking wire down.
I am getting caught up with planting. Now I am going into maintenance mode. Much more relaxing. today I am going to work on the grapes. I weeded them a little, Now they just need a shot of fish tea and need to be tied to the arbor .
hot hot hot, but we are getting enough rain so it is pretty lush and green.
the tomatoes are coming onto the vines already. I have the plants all staked.
had a deer right outside the kitchen window yesterday. I hope she didn't find the beets and beans in the raised beds.
I want to get a dog. The boss says no..
.......jiminwisc.......
Get the dog anyway 😂

Coop addition built, check.
Growout pen/brooder built into coop, check. (And now housing 3 chicks!)

Now to work on the addition to the run. And buy/install some polycarbonate sheets for a new roof on the existing part.

The addition will expand the run from about 90 sf to 150 sf. Nope, not room for 15 birds in the coop. :) Gonna limit myself to 9 or 10 chickens, she said, in all seriousness.

I can shoot up to 1 1/4" staples. The only drawback is that the staples can rust away in a few years. but you can just restaple and go for a few more years..
I am pretty much caught up on planting. Almost time to harvest the garlic. My first crop. I picked the scapes off early.
I got the grapes weeded and tied up. Only 3 of 6 survived . I have a patch of grapes where I can dig out some roots.
Yeah, I could get a dog, if I really want to die. lol
I don't know what kind I would get..

I wonder how Boots is doing up there in the hundred degree temps.?

My playhouse, I made the legs too tall. Maybe I could bury them a bit. The whole thing is crooked. So everything I add is crooked. Lol, chickens won't care.
