I am still around. I don't get on the computer as much as I would like to.
After Annie got done with her second hip PT, she stepped off of a curb and slipped, That was back in March. She fell and broke a bone in her knee. That put her down for three months. This week she had the last PT for the knee. She can walk with a walker or a cane. Still a bit unsteady..
I have one of those magnets on wheels. the wheels came off , I got tired of gluing them back on. I drag it through the grass. If it is there, it picks it up.
The doe and 3 fawns visit us each day. They are cleaning up the apples that fall off of the tree. They are camping out behind the garage behind the big blackberry patch. The fawns are still spotted, and almost as tall as their mother.
They walk through the tomatoes but leave them alone,,,,,so far. the beans and beets are untouched, too.
I am not doing much outside. I can't take the high temps. I am keeping up with pruning and training the new grapes, though..
I am going to the chiropractor for a pinched nerve in my neck. After a few visits, the pain is gone..
Enjoying all the blt's I can eat. The brandywine tomatoes are perfect. One half inch thick slice covers the bread perfectly. I can barely open my mouth wide enough to bite., but I manage.

How many years do most people have poultry until they get overwhelmed or tired of them?
That would be a good poll to have.

For me I'm about there now, 7-8 years in, the thrill is about gone.
Some get overwhelmed almost immediately due to lack of prior proper planning.

good start, now all you have to do is stay away from the sales..
I turned down 4 free buff orpington roosters this week. I am not in the mood to butcher right now.
I need to go to sales to sell more chickens! I can resist temptation, at least most of the time.
