WoW, we have snakes , but nothing poisonous. I don't mind snakes as long as I know where it is. The longest pine snake I ever saw was longer than my truck is wide by a foot. It crawled under my truck.
today I am going to spread some composted cow compost . Rhubarb and grapes.
Yesterday I put a U post by four different grape shoots. as it turned out , they ended up in a straight line. that surprised me.
these plan C U posts are going to work out great. I think I will patent the idea.
Cappy, are you going to have to build a shed for your ceramics ?
We are trying to get prices on various additions to the house. It is taking forever!

Nice pitcher. all i can say is all of your friends better like chickens. lolol
Aart, how is the mowing going?
We are falling behind.
Are all the builders so busy in your area . Cappy? You sure don't want to get the guys who put up the goat shed, lolol
Annie located, and I put a U post next to four of the wild grapes. As it turns out, they are in a straight line..I didn't expect that..
the grapes I planted last year are doing good. One of them has reached the top wire. I cut the tip off about a week ago and it is already sending shoots along the top wire in both directions. Plus there is also a shoot going along the lower wire.
Did I tell you that there were three yearling deer outside the kitchen window ? We suspect they are the ones that were born in our yard last year. No sign of the doe, yet

Probably are.
I have a bunch that hang out. At least 8 are regulars...... For some reason the weeds in the poultry yard are better than on the other side of the fence. Last year a doe strangled in the poultry e fence. 20 ft away from a red flashing predator light that's supposed to scare away predators and deer. LOL

Annie is learning how to run the mower. I can't see well enough to see where I mowed. there are some areas I can mow. She mows a bit at a time. by the time she gets finished, it is time to start all over again.
She wrote down the directions on how to start the mower and engage the mower deck. I get a chuckle watching her read her directions.lolol
Wait until I teach her to run the tractor with the snow bucket.
My nephew never did get the hang of it. He said that I made it look so easy.

I mow until the 14 bushel bagger is full and then I give it to the poultry. Takes 3 times to mow what I usually mow if I can mow every week. One load is from the bottom that is too wet to mow every week
