Helpful hints for building coops

The weather people called this one right. Last night at midnight , we had a good thunder storm come through. It rained hard for over a half an hour. then a couple of hours later another one came through. that one lasted for only a few minutes. No hail , no strong wind.
I still have not had to hook up the water hose outside.

Wonders if that's the same system predicted for here late this afternoon.

Aart, the storm we had is way north of you, . but never fear, there is your own private storm coming across the lake right now. according to my radar, it should get to you just after 1:3o PM today.

Well, for all the promise, we got probably less than 1/4" of rain. Guess I need to water the garden tomorrow.

So far I'm about the same for today. I watered the garden well the last 2 days, should have washed the car too.

Although I shouldn't complain. Half a mile away 70 mph winds and lots of damage

I don't know how much we got, but the puddle in the driveway has never been so big. Less than five miles away they got five inches.
high 80's and high humidity today.
I stayed inside.

Got about 3/4"+ here.
Garage flooded and so did underrun.
But power still on and not trees fell on my house....
...and the temps dropped significantly.

Aart, I'm glad the storm wasn't too bad. be thankful for the water you did receive. It is never the right amount, either too much or not enough. just accept it.
the little village just under five miles away from us measured five inches of rain. I figure we got about the same since we are so close and the storm came from that direction.
today is starting out cool. should be a nice day until about noon before it gets too hot.
