Helpful hints for building coops

They closed schools last night for today.... and now the snow may Miss Us LOL

Probably partly because they haven't used as many as expected so far this year.

I sold two wire chicken cages today.
I was just messing around and put them on craigslist
a couple of days ago.. Not expecting anyone would
even see the ad. much less come and get any.
some of them are frozen to the trailer. luckily the
better ones were stacked on top..

Lots of people are looking for coops too, if someone wanted to build and sell some.

. the trouble with building a coop and selling it is,
if you build it with any quality, people don't want to pay
the only way I would build a coop for someone is
custom built, with a down payment and a contract.
the down payment would have to cover the cost
of materials.
I had a couple come look at my dog house. He didn't
want to pay for even the materials. I told him to go build
one for himself. there would have been no way
he could have built one for what he offered for mine.

Just checking in, Not much to talk about but
the weather.. Not warming up yet.
I don't see anybody tapping maple trees yet.
I think I did smell a skunk. can spring be far behind ?

Well after all that work and gas money, i didn't sell a single goat at the swap. Bummer.
I did build a door for the run i helped a friend build. So now once she gets hinges and a handle, she will be able to use it.
Hubby has been helping me clean! We got 2 stalls in the barn cleaned, and half of the goat house. We repaired one of the raised beds that got off kilter. And, i filled one of the raised beds with strawberry plants.

Mel escaped today from his new home. He butted a hole right through the crappy quality wire they sell these days. So we had to catch him, repair the door and roof, then get him back down there.
