Helpful hints for building coops

I got some brooder cleaning done today, and also took a Mule load of bedding out of the barn. Unloaded the sand from the Mule into the run of the original coop.
Did some work on ceramic mugs, got handles on and carved in texture. Plan to work on the giant Gnome later tonight.

sounds like somebody got a spurt of energy.
I finally found someplace that has a piece of
vinyl 2x2 downspout.
I am going to go get one before they sell them out.

with Annie's help, I got the downspout up. I assembled it on the ground. surprisingly, it fit.
when I add the third barrel, I will cut the white tube shorter.
when I turn the elbow up, water can't flow, when I turn the elbow
down, water can flow. It is all gravity fed.
have to make a cover tor the collection barrel , yet.

I was bitten by a dog someone had on a leash yesterday. Stupid owner! So i got a tetanus booster today.

I agree, people know if their dogs are prone to bite.
they should not have them among people.
also they should have them muzzled.

Getting ready for the battle reenactment at the historic site so I'm helping DH with the mowing.

I spent 4 hours on his zero turn today.

I'll need to do at least some of it again Tuesday and then again Thursday so that the grass is nice and the clippings are well mulched-down.

We've had such good weather that the lawns look like hayfields because we've also had so many storms that he's been cutting up downed trees/branches instead of mowing.

Today's weather was gorgeous too. Overcast, mid-80's, and a pleasant breeze. Just about ideal.
