I drained both rain barrels. I rigged up long hoses
on each one. ran the water to the old apple tree.
gave it 1oo gallons to drink.
then sunday morning it rained about a
half inch. filled the first barrel about 3/4 full.
will use that to water the tree in the near future.
I turned 81 today. going to my favorite Chinese
restaurant with the family . they have super good
curry beef. I call it Panang Kai..

Saturday is the big show i sell at in Glen Allen , VA. Sunday my son, his family and their 2 dogs come to visit. Omg. Chore overload! I have been washing chickens and cleaning coops. Hoping to sell ALL of the chickens.

There, it goes to show ya, all great people are
born in September..
most of the people with us at the Chinese restaurant
were never there before.. They all raved about their meals.

thank you all for the birthday wishes.
I had a wonderful day with my children and
other family members.
as per usual, we celebrated by eating. lol
the two pounds I lost last week are surely
back. lol

have to drain them before it rains again.
I don't need the water for the tomatoes, so the
apple tree will get another 1oo gallons.
the apple fritters that I was going to make are on hold.
there is an apple pie in the oven right now.

How long have you had chickens?

I had chickens in TN, about 200. All breeds penned separately. Not sure how long we lived there. But it has to be well over 13 years total. Never had them as a kid.
