yeah, we both have heart devices. now I plan to live until 1oo. Mom made it to 99 1/2..
can't let her beat me..
had a run of bad luck this week. one freezer quit.
we managed to transfer all the venison and Lake Michigan Salmon into other freezers. tossed out many items that were outdated..
then as long as the streak was going, a water line began to leak.. 55 year old copper. we had already replaced 8o percent a few years ago with pex b.
Saturday we will replace all the rest with pex a.
that should hold me for the rest of my life..
I lucked out. Called a friend to borrow his pex tools.. he said he would bring them over and then stay and help me re do the water lines.
tomorrow I will be doing some serious shopping for fittings..

Hubby put in a water filter system in the kitchen today. We are cutting out bottled water.

Good idea, let us know how it works..
We have pretty good water as is. I don't use much bottled water.. Wife does..
after tomorrow, all of our water pipes will be pex.
no more copper taste.

But, pex is plastic so we get to drink tiny plastic particles. You can't win.

I'm hoping the iron and calcium scale on the inside of my PVC and galvanized pipes keeps me safer.

That plastic is so pervasive, even marine life is suffering from it. Mankind leaves a mess wherever he goes!

We got a Reverse Osmosis filter several years ago. It is the best tasting water, IMO. We don't buy bottled water at all.
