nice to be back with the group,
yesterday I cut a slot through the downed pine tree, now I can get the tractor out of the shed and use the loaded to carry the raised beds to their sunny spots for the summer.
I have four 5 gallon pails of rabbit manure to mix with soil, I use my cement mixer for this, it blends the manure in really well.
most of the tomato, pepper seedlings did not take transplanting into larger pots very well.
I will go to a nursery and get some larger than seedlings,.
we finally are starting a day with sunshine and it is 58F at 9AM already. makes a guy feel alive.

glad you can get on the garden chores
it's a damp and gloomy 53 at noon here

yesterday I charged the battery on the tractor,
after 2 hours it started right up. the last time I had it running was last October,.
next I have to charge the rider lawn mower,
the grass is not waiting.
both rhubarb patches are coming up. maybe will have a pie in a few days.
thinking of making wine this year.

I had to get a new battery in my 2018 JD. It had a recall on the brakes and was parked from October to February when they came to get it. Put the charger on it a couple days before and started it. I was suspicious it needed a new one because it was at max charging for hours....And the day they came I put the charger on just to be sure ...was at max charging 😢. Had them changed the battery and tune up since they had it anyway.

The tractor and lawn mower both took good charges,
Annie mowed around both rhubarb patches,
I back bladed the driveway , once each way,. too hot to stay outside,83F
I want to go back to the field and snag a few 5 gallon buckets of potting soil from DD"s stash.
this year I am going to blend the dirt with rabbit manure,I mix it in my cement mixer, it does a great job,
I am going to put the 6 tomatoes in 5 gal buckets this year, will save the raised beds for peppers and squash,
and maybe some green beans,.

well. plan B worked and we got raised bed 2 and 3 moved to the sunny spot,. just no.4 is left to do.
it got too hot for us old folks to keep working in the hot sun.
I got six 5 gal buckets filled with a mixture of potting soil and rabbit manure. today I want to get the six tomatoes planted in them.
I am going to gamble that there will be no more frost. I want to get peas and beans planted in the raised beds today, too.
DD Barby has six jalepino peppers and a couple of buttercup squash for me.
She sells garden plants, but I get mine for free.
I raised her right.
I have some 2 year old pea and bean seeds. I will plant them and keep my fingers crossed.

I am waiting until after Mothers day and then I will look at the forecast. I am a month behind on planting onions anyway ..Tomatoes and peppers can wait

I planted 8 jalapeno peppers and 4 bell peppers,
the jalapenos are just emerging, I will really have to baby them for a while.
I hooked up the hose,. the nozzle must have had water in it and froze,. it won't shut off. I managed to water everything.
hauled the last raised bed into place. it needs some repair.
still debating about planting sweet corn. maybe after I am done messing with the raised beds I will decide.
Happy Mothers' day to those that apply.

Sorry I have been MIA. I contracted Lyme disease and AlphaGal, so I just sleep a lot.
Yesterday I drove to a pottery sale in NC. 3 plus hours each way, plus 2 accidents. The police had shut off 3 out of 4 lanes for one of them. I took a detour. On the 2nd detour I saw half the state, it was insane thanks Google Maps!
