sorry, i didn't save the package. now i wish i had.
i really didn't think the lettuce would even grow.
and i usually don't like leaf lettuce. but this tasted like ice berg lettuce. it hasn't bolted, yet.

Molpet, I found the receipt.
from Menards. bib lettuce by Burpee .
it is still going strong . we will never be able to eat it all.

had a nice big salad with spaghetti . Annie said she picked a lot of lettuce. when i looked, could hardly tell that she picked any.
my efforts to borrow a box blace scraper is becoming a saga. i finally got someone with a trailer to go pick it up. when we went to get the tractor to load it, the battery was missing. so we left the trailer there so they could load it when the new battery was installed. no word yet. and today, Joe needs his trailer. so he will pick it up, loaded or not.
my oats is growing nicely. it is a cover crop,
i will plow it under before it heads out.
the groundhog is still hanging around. not going near the traps. think i will move the traps close to one of his burrows.

I've chatted with someone who regularly traps ground hogs. He doesn't use any bait. He puts the trap so that the ground hog runs into it as he comes out of his burrow.

Sally PB , i knew only of one burrow and he quit using it. but Annie informed me that Joe saw it dive into it yesterday. I will give that a try.
yesterday the borrowed box blade was delivered
now i can work on leveling off the long neglected driveway. it is better than I thought. instead of being 4ft wide, it is 5ft wide. and it looks like it has never been used. i have to go get new glasses ordered today, so i won't be able to work on the driveway until tomorrow .
the lettuce still has not bolted. i am impressed,.
