this is one of my radishes that i raised in rabbit manure in the raised beds. the big green grape is for comparison.
the radish was not hollow, woody or wormy. i don't like the skins so i peeled it. it was mild with a sweet taste.

Looks good

i sent a picture but i don't see it here.
i finally sold my chicken plucker. we bought it from a guy who retired from his chicken farm . that was 55 years ago. the plucker has plenty of "patina" but it works like new. glad to see it gone and glad it will get used. it is not a toy like the ones they are selling today.
our Packers squeaked another one by . i think they should give both teams 21 points and then let them
play for 5 minutes.
i pulled all of the radishes and gave them to my sister. i hope they aren't woody. she will let me know, i'm sure.
i have carrots and beets to dig. today is our last "warm" day for awhile. 11AM and 55F.

kind of a slow news day.
saw 13 deer in the field.
going to make zoupa pescata. probably not spelled like that. it is like the soup served at Olive Garden, only better..
this weekend will be my last chance to dig beets and carrots before the ground freezes hard.
i am decluttering. sold my lawn sweeper and chicken plucker. have a few more items listed on market place and craigslist.

I said when I retired in 2012 I said time to start decluttering..... So far I have just added to the clutter.

@CapricornFarm, how've you been? I saw you on the "question of the day" thread. A while back, there was discussion about how to improve that thread, and they added some suggestions/rules. I wanted to say "hi" there, but one complaint was that it was turning into a chat thread, so I didn't, but I'm saying "Hi!" here.

I'd love to see some of your recent pottery, if you have any pictures.

Hi everyone. I have been battling health issues and seem to always be tired, regardless of how much I sleep. Doctors have been no help. I can't remember the last time I felt good. It has been years, maybe even a decade. I want to see an endocrinologist, but the NP will not give me a referral. At least until I have a sleep study. Which may happen next year. Really?
