Someone suggested feeding him spaghetti, and if he can handle that, I'm sure he'd be able to handle earthworms and mealworms if you wanted to hand feed him. He might like those better than just being on a liquid diet.

Hope he heals quickly. Poor thing! It must feel awful!

If you cannot see a vet then alternate honey with an triple antibiotic cream (everyother day) for ten days ... rinse the beak after each feeding or at least a couple times a day 9replacing the cream if it rinses off) to remove any food particles. (see the articles in the EMERGENCIES section on honey at my library link in my sig)
do not feed solid grains or such during this period but get some baby parrot /bird formula and mix that up to a thin porridge consistency then mix that with crumble pellets and serve in a deeper dish (to avoid him hitting the tip of beak on the bottom . you want him to be able to scoop it up so he avoids pain)
The parrot formula will concentrate the nutrition.
It will be a lot of work but if you are up to it then it should be doable

Well I am just letting him rest. He is a very big boy! even for a silkie.
I looked at his beak and it doesnt seem to be getting infected. As long as he has clean food and water daily I think he will do ok.

I feed him wet crumble with a little flaxseed powder and molasses.
Yeah I can tell he has problems

But I maul/hug him allot

So that has to stand for something

And yes I will try the mix if it gets worse. I have some formula on hand from haveing baby parakeets

Gonna try to take him out Monday and see how he is. I havnt really taken any pictures of him
