Hemp Heaven!

Hi All - I just wanted to share a discovery. I gave my hens some hemp seed/hearts I got at the grocery store the other day and they go completely insane over it. Supposedly it has a lot of health benefits including essential fatty acids and calcium and lots of good nutrients, so just thought I would share!

I went dumpster diving at a business behind work and found 300#+ of organic hemp with over $1000 of other stuff. Yes, they loved it but is it expensive.

It's an organic hummus manufacturer. They were going through a major seasonal product change. I need to find a use for cocoa butter. Tried making suet out of it. Chickens not impressed.

Hemp hearts are so so so good for chickens. I keep them on hand all the time for my Etsy shop, I love including them in my recipes. I use them in homemade dog food as well because of all the benefits.
