That is looking good. It looks like the scab is wearing off from the edges inward. That is exactly what you want to be seeing. She's going to be fine very soon.
 
you talk about a saddle.where do I get one .I have a female that thinks she is a roo and has damaged the back of one hen.I have gotten rid of one hen that was doing that,but this other one is doing it also.The one she is picking on has had a bad foot that she developed last summer.We separated her for a long time to see if it would heal.It hasn,t.I put her back with the others and she seemed like she was backing down the aggressive ones.As i stated in the begining it is one aggressive one that is bothering her.I am thinking of getting rid of the troublemaker, but am not sure if another will start.
I live in NH too,and it is hard to find somebody to ask locally.
Sorry to make this sooo long,but hate to put down the younger more docile bird.
 
I make my own out of a cheap piece of fleece. It involves no sewing, just strategic cutting. The piece of fleece has lasted for years, and has many more saddle sized pieces left in it.
