I purchased new and just finished reading Martin Gurdon's Hen and the Art of Chicken Maintenance: Reflections on Raising Chickens. It's a read it and pass it along type of book which I would be happy to do on the condition that you pass it along when you're done reading it so someone else can enjoy it. I got the book off alibris for a few bucks and did the same - passed it on.
Fun read, good for a chuckle. Not much in the way of hard practice, but a lot of things we can all relate to.

I just finished reading it too... loved it!
So many of the stories happened in my chicken raising experience just the way they were written.

I read this book last summer, (from the library). It is a quick easy read and I loved it. It changed my life in a way... it gave me the 'crazy idea' that I too could raise chickens. From there I started reading and learning and I finally started my flock yesterday
