Urgent!! My broody Hen started eating the chicks egg as it was pipping!! Will it survive?? What do I need to do to help it? It’s still alive and there’s another one that hasn’t started pipping yet.

Some hens will nibble at the egg shell as the chick hatches. Leave her be and check on her once an hour. If she's attempting to eat the chick, you'll have to move it to a brooder.

that is the link for the video on her eating the egg and let me know if that’s what she’s doing because the way I saw it was that she was hungry or something

Is there any food she can reach while she sits on the nest?

You could try offering a small amount of wet chicken food (does not spill as badly as dry chicken food or water, but provides both.)

I know broody hens usually don't eat much, and usually do get off the nest to eat, but if she's trying to stay put while the chicks are hatching she might be hungrier than usual.

She first got up to go eat the food and when she got back I guess she noticed the crack and started pecking

The chick is out of the shell but it looks weird inside
