Hen ate vet wrap

Hello!

One of my hens has a mild case of bumble and is obsessive with the wrap of her foot. Well, I wrapped her up fresh this morning and when I went to give her a fresh wrap before bed, the wrap was gone! I looked through the run and the yard to no avail. It doesn’t mean for sure that she ate it, but she is the “I eat everything I see” kind of chicken. There were two 3’ maybe 4’ inch pieces, very thin, and a small gauze piece under for padding with neosporin. Will she be able to pass these? I already gave her a little mineral oil, just in case.

Do you mean inches (3"-4") or feet (3'-4') pieces?

If in inches, likely she will pass them if she did eat them. I've had vet wrap to be picked off or come off, only to find it weeks later where it had been scratched under the dirt of the run.

Mineral oil won't hurt.

I'd just monitor her for a few days.

False alarm. Dad found it in the yard while picking up to mow and failed to tell anyone
