Hen attacked by Fox

I have a hen that was attacked and couldn't walk afterwards so I put her in a sling a week or two.It was a very painful ordeal for her. It only healed by keeping her weight off her legs initially(still took months to heal completely). I had to separate her from the main flock and put her in the divided run with a few of her friends
Ok,thank you! The only thing that I’m concerned about is that she got attacked 2 weeks ago and I just today was able to pick her up from my friend’s and bring her to my house. Is that a problem?

Just do the best you can, see if she will come around by being in the sling.

Have you checked her over really well for any punctures, bruising, abrasions, etc. that are hidden underneath the feathers?

I did check her over and didn’t really see much. I found a couple areas where some skin was stuck to the feathers but everything seemed to be healed on the outside. I think the fox was carrying her by her left hip and now her left leg is turned in.

All you can do is try your best to help her. Honestly, she's lucky to have survived the attack. I interrupted a fox attack once, one bird was already gone, the other died in my arms before I could do anything. Between the injuries and the shock, it's often too much for them.
