Hen attacking other hens?!

I have 5 Rhode island reds, and i am pretty new to this whole chickens in your backyard thing, so today it was a normal morning i collected one egg, then 20 minutes later a chicken laid another egg, i collected it and it saw me, it started screaming and attacking other chickens, and i am not sure if this is normal or i need to do something. Please help!!

I'm sure it was unrelated to you being around, chickens can argue occasionally, you were probably just there for it.

Are you sure? Because as soon as i picked up the egg it started screaming and it was attacking other chickens. I thought that it was blaming them for the egg but i am not sure.

Hens have disagreements with each other. I would wait a couple of days and if the behavior continues then separate the trouble maker for a few days and reintroduce her. She is probably the top hen and is trying to cement this matter.
