How old is she? If she's about 16months old it may be that she is starting to moult and it makes them feel under the weather. Some chickens sail through it like it's nothing and others really seem to feel naff. Feeding extra protein treats like meal worms, meat scraps, a bit of scrambled egg or tuna each day should help if that is the problem and worth trying before you fork out for a vets bill. Natural yoghurt or probiotics are also worth trying.

Well I've had her from about may 2015 and she was already egg laying. I'll try the food suggestions (thank you for that) I do know they love the meal worms. She looks a lot better today. And our other hen's eggs are hatcing!

If it's too hot give them frozen fruit

Thanks to both. Unfortunately lost two baby chicks. What kind of fruit do they prefer cause my little flock is suspicious of most foods unless it's rice.
