Hen Broke/Chipped Her Beak

That's up to you if you want to let her out and see how she does.
You could make one bowl of mash for her to eat if she wishes.
I don't know what your feeder setup is like. I use feed cups, so provide both wet feed and dry feed for my flock.
Yeah, I have multiple big bowls and a few feeders ( like the hanging feeders & one that looks like a rabbit feeder ). It would probably be best to do all mash since they like to go “oh, you sat that bowl down so it must have the freshest food! forget the bowls I was just eating out of.”

Just kind of a small follow up with not a whole lot to say other than she’s doing fine. I don’t think it’s going to grow back but it doesn’t bother her one bit. Also, sorry for poor quality pictures. Cornering her while she’s in the nesting box is the closest pictures I can get of her.

The Buckbeak Saga continues with more small picture updates. Call me crazy, but does it look like it is growing back? Her bottom beak isn’t sticking out as far as the top now ( of course, it could be the bottom wearing down ). And there’s not as much white now on the top of her beak

It looks like an improvement from the photos a month ago for sure. Thanks for coming back and posting progress pics!

She looks great!
What's that little sweet thing I spy peeking out of her feathers?!❤️
Yeah, she really does. You can’t even tell anything ever happened to her beak. But, yeah, she went broody and I let her hatch out but that’s the only guy that made it. She accidentally crushed the second egg she had while it was externally pipped. She’s a new broody, so I guess it happens.

Buckbeak has pecked me enough throughout her sitting…I personally know she now has nothing wrong with her beak
