Hen buried eggs!

As long as she is sitting I would leave them. My hen had 4 Serama eggs under her. The first 2 eggs hatch same day, 3rd egg hatched next day. I had given up hope on the 4th egg, but she was sitting tight and low and behold that 4th egg hatched 4 days later.

What a great story with such a happy ending. Congrats on your super save.

No I didn't have a problem with mama accepting the later chicks. I had them in a tiny brooder box in the house under a lamp. I took a couple of her chicks from her and put them with the newbies for a couple hours and then brought her in and put her with all of them. She took to them fine. the newbies saw the others run to her so they ran to her, too.
