Hi~

I'm new to posting here although have been reading and getting valuable information from this site for years. Today I am in need of some advice.

We had a horrible fire a few days ago and as a result one of my banty hens was burned. Feathers singed and any place not covered by feathers burned. I have been putting neosporin on her feet and legs but not sure if it is ok to put this on her head. A friend suggested bag balm but I'm not sure. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I have been putting duramycin in her water. She is eating and drinking.

Thank you!

You can even put Neosporin, without pain killer, in her eyes...it is safe for everywhere! Sorry to hear about your girl...I hope she gets better soon. Try and keep her away from flies...they are terrible this year and love to lay their eggs in wounds.

Neosporin is fine unless it has I think pain reliever or numbing stuff in it. I would get make sure she is separated from everyone until she heals.

if you want, try sterile patches they have neosporin patches at CVS AND ALMOST ANY DRUG STORE or market the patch will act as a wall to flies and bactireia.
