After gathering my eggs this morning 10 eggs from 11 golden comets! Good egg day! I brought my 3 week old baby chicks out to get some sunshine. I was watching over them when the loudest cackle came from the inside the coop that I had ever heard! I ran and opened the door to find one of my hens sitting in the nesting box. I said oops and shut the door. The cackling seemed to go on forever finally she got a little quieter and I opened the lid on the nesting boxes and this is what I found.
No wonder she was so loud! I would have been too! I can't even get the lid closed on the carton that egg is so big! There are a couple more pix of the egg in my photo gallery if you want to see them!
