Hi everyone, my names nick im reasonably new to the forum besides being on here for a year or so withought registering, but I recently found a black copper maron hen or which I think it is and were in the process of building a run and coop for it, as I had it in the garage because it was too cold out last night in its cage, and this morning started to crow, is tgis actually a rooster? Was hoping it was a hen but oh well here's the pics.

Looks like a silkie cockerel or cock. Not only is it a male, it's not a Marans.

Looks like a Silkie male. He's got walnut comb and darling dark eyes. You can be absolutely sure by looking at his toes. He should have 5, not 4.
Silkies make great pet with their sweet temperament.
