You are good then, there is only a noise rule related to roosters.

If yours is like Echo was there isn't any specific time when the crowing will happen. I don't recall Echo ever crowing to announce the sun. And she didn't crow all that often, maybe a few times a week. And it lasted maybe 6 months then she decided to quit for some reason.

We have a neighbor about 450' away with a rooster, doesn't bother us at all but her roosters taught me that they don't crow just at sunrise but all throughout the day at random times. I'd rather hear that than the neighbor's dog the other direction. Bark, bark, bark for quite a time and often during the day.

Yes id much rather hear a rooster crow than a neighbours dog constantly barking.
I think i over think things and then work myself up, that chicken is my baby i have infertility and everytime i had a loss i replaced it with a chicken.. but for some reason she has been the most special out of all of the other ones i have ever had.. maybe its her bossy personality who knows but she is my baby and i dont want anything to ever happen to her.

Any crower, male or female, will likely fall under the noise ordinance.
Had a 2yo hen start to crow on winter, sang duets and helped the cock herd the flock around.
She stopped all that when she came back into lay around March.

Lastnight when i was feeding them outside she was calling chicks to eat.. i think she has lost it .. i feel if she wants to go broody this year i will let her, and just get her a few fertile eggs
