It's a very sad fact about chickens, a lot of times they don't show symptoms until it's too late.

Thanks. I spent a lot of time on here researching the the symptoms. Swollen abdomen, droopy tail, lethargic etc. None of the outcomes were ever good. Catalina's post about Honey was like it was happening all over again. We didn't do a necropsy. Just gave Philly a burial out in my yard next to my dogwood. My teenaged sons didn't laugh at me for crying. (It's hard having pets...)
