Hen dug out of coop!

Our small Buff Orpignton hen dug out of her coop this morning! We found her outside next to the coop, and there was a shallow hole at the end of the coop. Has this happened to anyone else?

That's why I line the base of my coop with plastic...

Some are real diggers!!! Yes indeed, it is quite common. IF you have a dirt floor and your coop is merely resting on the ground and there are no "footings", they'll eventually dig their way out. Bad news is that the predators will also do the same from the outside in.
