Last time I saw opposum was a few years ago. And raccoon are aPlenty here. Where I found her dead is an unlikly place for a raccoon to have got her. I am using hardware cloth, so I don't think they could have grabbed her.

Sounds like an opossum to me. I had is similar incident with a silky. Didnt eat the bird just chewed its face up

such a waste, id rather the entire thing be eaten if its going to be killed like that. how wide are the gaps around the coop?

edit: the roo probably scared the critter away before it could eat or take her
