Hen grasping for air

I have looked inside as she exhales, but I am waiting for assistance with prying open her beak. I'm not 100% but I think the blockage may be in her throat, while Im waiting for back up i'm going to grab some Dulcolax at the store.

Here is a good picture of the crop and how the opening to the lower digestive tract is higher up:

Thank you for the help, but we lost her:(

She was having a hard time breathing and didn't seem to be getting better, I thought I had identified a food blockage in her throat but after autopsy i'm sure it was her neck bone.

We turned her upside down to try and massage it out and get the food out through vomit and ended up getting water in her lungs with the choking and she died. I did not recognize from what I had read that you should tilt the head down not turn the bird upside down.

Things got jumbled around at the end but I'm pretty sure large pieces of hay were the culprit. With the benefit of hindsight I think the correct course of action was to continue giving her coconut oil and leaving out water and grit for her and it might have solved itself. That being said she had already almost passed out from lack of oxygen a few times and about 8 months back I had a bird with the same symptoms that didn't last 30 minutes. In a similar situation I would wait another 24hrs with the oil and water to see if it would work before moving on.

I also checked inside her mouth and did not see anything, I think the hay was already inside her Larynx.

My solution is to remove hay from the coup and use all wood chippings and leaves.
