Hen has a black eye

No blood and yes the cotton ball was wet. It is very hard and uneven It must of hurt or she was scared. She pecked me lightly
So not likely a wound, tho the AB ointment might soften a scab.
Give it another wipe after that's been on there a half a day or so.

Pecking normal when messing with their heads...and IIRC you said she was a wild one?

it doesn’t seem like it is fowl pox. I’ve been studying on Google it says that you could give them a special diet to ease the symptoms. It said beef cat food, oats, cod liver oil, large egg yolk, a little bit of honey, vitamins, and sugar-free yogurt , And a graded Apple. It also said that you can try to take the scab off I can’t imagine doing that.Specially around her eye.I’ve been trying to see if I could give her a baby aspirin to ease the symptoms if she has pain.Have you had experience with fowl pox ?Any other suggestions would be appreciated thank you so much for your help

I just reread my thread up above and I meant to say it does seem like it’s fowl pox

Have you had experience with fowl pox ?
Have had mostly small spots of dry pox.
It's virus carried by mosquitoes, nothing you can do to 'cure' it.
Best to leave it alone because it can spread.

I don’t think it is fowl pox. Usually the scabs are spread out on the face, wattles, and comb. Fowl pox scabs should never be disturbed, since that can spread the pox virus. It looks like a scab from an injury. Wire fencing or sharp objects around the coop or pecking could cause those. I would apply the antibiotic ointment at least twice a day to soften it and help to heal it. It will eventually fall off on it’s own.

I am trying to help them feel better. I heard avia 2000 is a good Vitamin but I can’t seem to find it

Is she acting like she doesn't feel good?
If she's eating/drinking/pooping/moving around OK,
I'd just stick with a good chicken ration and fresh plain water.
Hard to treat for something If you don't know exactly what it is,
off the cuff 'remedies' can cause problems or mask symptoms..

Thank you She is eating and pooping and drinking but she’s acting different than she normally does. She will usually pack at the other chickens and she hasn’t been doing that. I just want to give her and the other chickens a good multivitamin to help them. Are usually put a couple drops of oil of oregano in the water won’t maybe once a week to help them with a natural anabiotic. Thank you so much have a wonderful day
