Hen has difficulty drinking; resort to snow

I am familiar with sour crop, though I thought it was the cause of consuming bad water. Will feeding her wet food risk crop issues?
Give her normal dry feed..What happens is that they consume too much wet feed and not enough grit..Example a free range bird without access to water or grit gets impacted crop..Sour crop is caused from roosting at night with a Crop full of veg and water without grit consumed that sits in the crop....

Good to know- thank you! I will try to get her to drink the "slushy" as you recommended earlier.

Not buying the wet feed causes sour crop.
Grit works in gizzard, not crop.
Long grasses and/or not drinking enough.... maybe.
So make it really wet...I'm assuming you are feeding crumble or pellets?
