Hen has foamy bubbles in her eyes!

You can get it at the supermarket--same as for people. Hope she gets better fast.

Ok, so how exactlllyy, like step by step, do i do it with the saline?

This summer a bunch of my chickens got something that only involved foamy eyes and all recovered in a few weeks after Teramycin. The only hint they even had it is that their bottom lids stayed slightly droopy but it doesnt bother them.

I honestly don't think the saline solution is necessary. Just a decent medication like teramycin or duramycin. My Silkie rooster had this and my Sebright roo had other respiratory symptoms but no bubbles. Just calm down Justin, it's not life-threatening.

Which one do you guys think would be the most effective for what she has got?

And is it just stuff i put in the water? right?

Probably not--I just answered where to get it. It is good to use at times when a possible foreign body is in the eye or wound though and is harmless to use. We always have it in the house along with a thermometer, bandaids, wraps, aspirin, benadryl, neosporin, etc., for humans and pets.

i posted about this subject also and no one responded, im glad someone did for you. im using saline eye drops for his eye and washing out with warm water and warm bath and some antibiotic ointment, my duck was on antibiotics a week ago though so i dont know what mine is either im waiting to start injections of antibiotics again... good luck and i do think you should use the saline, as what ever this is its an infection and you want to keep the area clean as possible.. esp if your chicken scratches her face or uses slightly dirtied water... its just to be on the safe side... if not at least wash it out with warm water.

ok well, im lookin at her now and no more really bubbly eyes, .....mom said she got some meds from a vet......im still going to give em to her and the others in their water, and i think ot be safe ill keep her in the crate 1 more day for safty before i bring her back out with her friends......

the doc gave me Ornacyn-plus, and i just put it in everyones water
