Hen has infected bulge on leg

A fiend of mine found this on her hen today. Does anyone know what it is and how to treat it? Thank you so much

Looks just like the squamous cancer one of my hens had. You can try treating it as a wound, but if it doesn't show any signs of healing, it's then very likely a skin cancer.

I agree with Azygous. If you'd like you can try warm compresses to soften the scab and remove it to see what's underneath (infection, debris, etc). Flush with betadine, chlorhexidine, or vetericyn. Pack it good with Neosporin & keep her away from the other birds.

If it doesn't make any progress healing then it's highly likely it is cancerous and there isn't anything you can do. Hope everything goes well.
