Hi everybody. I have a barred rock with a very very large crop and she has lost feathers on her chest (not sure if she is plucking them out). She is very active, eating and drinking normally. What could it be and what can I do to reduce the size of her crop. It doesn't seem to bother her and I do not detect any odor. I do use straw in the coop which they all seem to chew up. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

If you have photos of your hen that would be great! Include some profile photos of her too please.

Is the crop still very large first thing in the morning before she eats/drinks or is it empty?
Does your hen lay eggs?

If the crop is not empty completely in the morning, then feel of it and tell us what it's like - hard, soft and doughy, fluid or air filled, etc.
Once we know a few more details we can help you figure this out.
