Hello there!
I have posted another thread about my chicken, Lucky, who started limping and then couldn't walk at all and died. I was told that it was probably Marek's disease and I had come to terms with that. However, one of my other chickens was having chicks and I was terrified that they would get the disease. Well, they are nearly three months old and I haven't had a problem! Until recently when one of my chickens, Carla, became limp and struggled to get around. She was unable to stand and walk and I realised she was probably going to die. Well, it has now been weeks and she's eating and drinking however can still not stand. She's a happy little chicken and will cry out if she's rolled. She's still with the other chickens and they get along well with her. My question is... will she ever be able to walk again? I don't want to put her down if there is any chance of her getting better. I am willing to put in the effort if it means she will live a happy life. To my understanding she is not in pain and is extremely happy. I would love to hear anybody else's experiences. Thank you.
