We ended up culling her, she seemed in a lot of pain and I didn’t want it to happen again for her in the future.

So sorry.

I know what a difficult choice (and action) that can be especially if it's your first time facing something like this. I also believe you likely made the very best decision for everyone involved. Very brave, thoughtful and selfless.
