I believe the cart is 3x4. We were going to build a base, but by the time you buy tires and an axle, it was cheaper to use the garden cart that we got for $60(and if we evey get rid of the chickens-ha-we will have a cart to use). The only down fall is that I wish it had a wider wheel base. It is woobly, but we have jack stands to prevent that. Plus, the coop is pretty heavy, so there is not much chance of it tipping over. We used our old fence panels to cover the outside. We also put a piece of vinyl over the wood floor inside just incase water spills or comes in the window when raining and it works great and the chickens don't mind it since there are wood chips on top, and make the clean out very easy!! The coop measure approx. 4 1/2 by 3 1/2. Happy to help with any other questions. We are definitely learning as we go and spending alot of evenings just chillin' with our peeps!
