I walked into my coop the other day to find my welsummer (about 9/10m) limping around with her toes curled under.

I put her in a dog kennel inside the run with her own food and water.

1) how Long does it take a chicken foot to heal?
2) is there anything else I should be watching for?

I just introduced her back into the coop after finding her weak from not eating or drinking. So I’m a bit paranoid that something bigger is going on - I may be googling too much tho...

I would try to determine if she has broken or sprained her foot from a jump injury. Was she vaccinated for Mareks disease? At her age the curled under toes and limping could be a sign of Mareks, but hopefully not. Injuries are much more common. A sprain could take weeks to heal. Was there green bruising on the top or bottom of her foot? I would try to limit her activity to force rest of the foot. When separating a chicken I prefer to leave the crate inside the coop where they can still see the other chickens. They may eat better and feel more comfortable.

I have no idea if she’s vaccinated - I got her 3m ago but I could probably reach out and ask.

I didn’t see any green - nothing looks or feels abnormal when comparing her two feet.

is there anything I should do to treat the injury other than limit activity?

attached is my current set up for her.
