I have a hen, (not 100%) sure of breed. She's a rescue bird. Everything about her is perfectly fine. She's NOT fluffed up, she's eating normally, no runny nose or eyes, her crop is soft, she has no injuries, & she's a healthy 8 pounds.

Today she suddenly started breathing heavy & her tail is pointed down. It looks like it's a little uncomfortable for her to walk. She still eating & drinking normally, her poo looks normal, & she's still pooping, but not a much as normal.

She's 9 months old.

I have her in the house now where I can keep her warm & calm.

She never layed any eggs yet.

I felt around her abbs. It doesn't seem like anything is swollen, but I don't know what exactly to look for either.

I'll have to look up egg yolk peritonitis. Don't know what that is.

GREAT NEWS !!!

A little pink egg. How girly of her to lay a pink egg like that.
