Hen is drooling, laying down, and has white stuff coming from her vent

This morning my sister went oub to the chicken and found our little red hen pumpkin laying down drooling, has white stuff coming out her vent, and has a purple comb. I tried researching and couldn’t find anything. She about a year old no idea what breed but I feel bad for the poor thing....i don’t want to but we might put her out of her misery...any idea?

Sorry about your little hen. How old is she? A blue comb can be from heart or respiratory failure or dehydration. The white material may be urates or kidney waste, and could be a sign of being dehydrated. I would hold some water with electrolytes in a sppon or small lid and offer it to her. Cooked egg or wet chicken feed would be hood as well. If she won’t eat, make her comfortable and keep her warm since she may be dying. If you would like to know what was wrong with her, your state poultry lab vet can do a necropsy if she sides. Here is a list of state vets:
