Hen is hunched and straining intermittently. Confused!

Are there natural wormers that work well? I’ve read about pumpkin seeds being pretty good. Any others?
Pumpkin is supposed to make an uncomfortable environment. But I have participated in threads with proof it isn't effective. I will put my $ up if you wanna do floats before and after that one to (sincerely). Have also heard crushed red cayenne pepper since chickens don't have capscasin receptors. I don't buy it. (wish I had bookmarked the links)

I'm ALL for going natural if it works, while noting that even organic poison is STILL poison.

When it comes to an infestation, you MUST use what works... like it or not. Sorry, I TRULY am not trying to be ugly here at all!

I know we ALL have to do what we feel is right for US and our birds. :)

I agree with EggSighted4Life about getting a fecal test, and about pumpkin seed and DE not working as a wormer. You would want to get Valbazen (1/2 ml) or SafeGuard liquid goat wormer (0.25 ml per pound) from your feed store. Give a dose and then repeat it in 10 days. Throw out eggs from her for 24 days total.
