My bantam is laying eggs that make her bleed out of her vent and sometimes blood clots as well. She eats and drinks normally and has a good amount of calcium available to her. Is there any reason why she is doing this ?? There isn’t a prolapse just a torn vent and bloody eggs. Any info could really help

From what I've read about this issue, I'd try reducing protein in the diet and adding more scratch grains. Oversized eggs are supposedly caused by a diet too high in protein. Black sunflower seeds are supposed to help too (the oil helps the eggs pass).

What are some good scratch grains to add besides the sunflower seeds ? Also thank you for your information
