Hen keeps sitting down //Help//

Soak her feet, or all of her in a sink or whatever you use for a bath for ten minutes and gently try to pull the scab looking thing off. If if bleeds soak her for a bit longer and try agai. It is vital you get the infection out or it won’t do anything. So get everything out and stop when you see foot skin and rinse her feet off and bandage her up. I like to use self stick wrap. Add antibiotic ointment, just make sure it doesn’t have any ”caines” in it.

But her feet have been like that for a long time. She has never behaved this way before. She was fine the day before yesterday. What suddenly happened? I still believe bumblefoot along with another disease (hopefully not reproductive) is aiding her condition to worsen.
Lets get the bumbles out and see ok? Hens will not limp until it’s serious. My hen had bumblefoot too and shes getting better.

Were her syptoms similar to mine? Did she also have droopy wings?

I have seen videos of people cutting up the foot. It gets really bloody and I don't want them to lose so much blood. Will pulling the plug off get all the infected parts out?or would i have to cut her up?

The hen has serious bumblefoot. If it's never been treated, the infection may have gone into the bones of her feet. That would cause a lot of pain and she wouldn't be up to walking very far before needing to rest.

She may also have other more serious issues. If it's correct that she had bronchitis, it can also cause lifelong issues in the respiratory tract and the reproductive tract. https://www.merckvetmanual.com/poultry/infectious-bronchitis/infectious-bronchitis-in-poultry

Mine didnt have droopy wings was it hot there like 80 degrees?
It's not hot here. Quite a pleasant weather.
Yours has a plug so please don’t cut her foot.
I will just try to pull the plus out.

The whole flock has had bronchitis. My roo lost his eye due to coryza and they still wheeze a little. Right now, they are on antibiotics.

Can we rule out reproductive issues?

Will the antibiotics help with the infection in her legs?

@azygous knows so much more than me so I cant help you with bronchitis. Her laying down might be from that bumblefoot. Holding wings out is unusual and doesnt have anything to do with bumblefoot.
