hen laid half an egg

My hen laid half an egg right in front of me and i grabbed it immediately or the othets would have ate it. she laid the other half while eating and i didt see it till others were fighting over it. has anyone seen this?

Its also tiny, bout size of ping pong ball- half a ping pong ball. she is a polish hen

Sometimes errors in production occur. That would be one of them. I get all manner of shades of brown, including white. Sometimes eggs have speckles, ridges, funny taper.
