hen layed a mixture of poop and egg

She's fine now, but for a day was quite lethargic, then didn't lay for a day or two, then yesterday we found a poop that had like an egg yellow (very small) mixed in with it. She went back to laying a normal egg this morning, a bit of a thin shell, but ok.

Any ideas why this would be?

Sounds like just a glitch in the system. I'd just keep an eye on her for a few days.

Can you grind up some egg shel and feed it back to her? She sounds pretty low on calcium, which can cause eggs to break on the way out or to be laid with that strange thin shell. Supplement her, and the prob should fix itself.

You should have oyster shells out for her to help with the calcium and make the shells stronger
