Hen layed, heard hard hit, egg cracked, wanted to hatch hers

yes I love these girls...I have 5 hens I love like these...they were pullets when I got them at 3 days of age...but in my group I had 7 roos!!!! I had to sell them...too agressive with them. I kept only one BIG DADDY....I have two like this one...I should have kept him also...

BUT...I also had RIRs just as beautiful and big as Big Daddy...so no telling what I will get. I would love to get roos to match my girls but I dont know what I have...the guy sold me mixed breeds I guess. I got rid of my sexlinked and my RIRs

Your blue hen looks like a deleware blue hen. She is so pretty. Your Roo is awesome too!

Ive heard she is a Blue laced red wyandotte
and then also something else that I forgot!...lol, and now this...but she lays blue eggs...so someone said EE or has heavy EE in her.

Actually I just ran across another title for her......

I think that she could be a Deleware Blue/BLUE LACED RED WYANDOTTE ..... you can google and see ...... regardless she is a beaut and i need some of her fertilized eggs bad!

Now I am going to obsess over getting a blue hen that actually lays blue eggs thank you very much. LOL I also live in TEXAS. I am not sure how far apart we are but we are both TEXANS anyway. If you ever want to trade eggs or sell me a couple just let me know. I am more interested than ever in purchasing or trading for 4 or 6 fertilized blue eggs from your blue hen and white Rooster. According to the color chart you should get so many combination chicks its amazing... some blue some black some NONE WHITE.

I would love to get something to mate her with that would match her!!!! can you imagine the chicks!!! I did goggle and it gave me blue laced red wyandotte...dont think thats her...how did you get the delware blue in there?

I use to live up in Cleveland and Splendora until 3yrs ago!!!! the link you gave me...its a chart?...doesnt show actual chickens...I like actual pictures!!! lol

I googled "blue hen images" I will email you a photo of the ROOSTER I found that looks like your hen

even though the chart does NOT show photos it is very cool because you can click on different colored roosters and see what breeding them with a blue will produce..... that is how I got the idea to breed my splash with my blue/black cochins instead of giving my splash or lavender roo away.... I am glad that we also have eachothers regular email too because sometimes I do not have much time to check BYC and I get my emails instantly on my phone even when I am not near my computer. If you mean the egg on the right in the bottom row I get ones like that fairly often from my dark layers. Mine are just a regular dark brown egg with a calcium layer over them. Much like the "purple" eggs some people have gotten. Try wetting your finger and wiping it across the egg to see if the color changes.

All of the Wyandottes I used to have laid brown eggs, I never heard of one that laid blue.

I'd say EE, or Americana, she doesn't look like an Araucana, but I suppose she could be. There at least one or twp other breeds that lay blue eggs, but I'm drawing a blank.
